New
online self-service tools for your group members
myGHI
for Members, the secure member portal available through
GHI's Web site, GHI.com,
has become an important resource for information and around-the-clock,
self-service capabilities for your group members. By continually
adding new functionality, GHI keeps its Web site current,
relevant, and at the forefront of industry standards.
With the new features recently added to the portal, members
can:
- Opt
to go “paperless.” Members can
now elect to receive documents, such as Explanations
of Benefits (EOBs), electronically through email rather
than through the mail.
- Share
their PHR information electronically with their providers.
Members now have an easy way to keep their doctors up-to-date.
If a member gives permission for his or her providers
to access the member’s Personal Health Record
(PHR), the doctor will be able to review the member’s
online records prior to appointments. Plus, providers
will soon be able to add brief notes to the member’s
PHR.
In
addition, members can:
- View
claims and benefits, check who’s covered, download
claim forms, and request new ID cards
- Print the new Student Verification Parent Affidavit Form, which they can complete and mail to GHI.
- Evaluate
their health status by taking an online health risk
assessment.
- Search
GHI's provider network by name, location, distance,
zip code, gender, language, hospital affiliation, and
more.
