GHI
supports breast cancer awareness
In October, GHI staff took to the streets
in four cities across the state, participating in regional
American Cancer Society (ACS) Making Strides Against Breast
Cancer walks. Team GHI, comprised of more then 400 GHI
employees and family members, took part in sponsored ACS
walks in New York, Syracuse, Albany, and Lake Katrine,
raising donations of more than $30,000 for this important
cause.
Making
Strides Against Breast Cancer is a noncompetitive walk
to help increase public awareness and knowledge of breast
cancer and to provide hope to people facing the disease.
It is the ACS’s premier event to raise funds to
fight breast cancer. Proceeds from these annual walks
underwrite the American Cancer Society’s lifesaving
research, prevention, early detection, and support programs
for thousands of patients and their families.
GHI
is dedicated to working to raise awareness of important
health issues, including the fight against breast cancer.
2007 marks GHI's eighth consecutive year as a Flagship
Sponsor of the ACS Making Strides Against Breast Cancer
Walk.
